Bathroom Restoration & Custom Renovation: Leak Repairs, Herringbone Tile, Patterned Flooring, Limewa

Project type

Complete Bathroom Renovation & Moisture Damage Restoration

Date

October, 2026.

Location

San Marcos, Tx

Explore how SMTX Contractors LLC transformed this secondary bathroom with a complete renovation—from repairing hidden moisture damage to installing distinctive tile and custom finishes.

We demolished the existing bathtub surround and wall tile, repaired an old leak, and replaced damaged plywood, including affected subfloor sections. Plumbing inspections, electrical outlet repairs, HardieBacker installation, and waterproofing prepared the space for its new finishes.

The updated bathroom features herringbone wall tile, patterned floor tile, a new bathtub, and a custom sliding glass enclosure. A custom floating vanity, black-framed mirror, and coordinated lighting bring style and function to the space. Carefully finished wall seams and limewash walls complete the design with soft texture and warmth.
